Understanding the availability status options in TabLess can help you manage which items customers can see and order from your menu at any given point. Here’s a quick guide to each status and when to use it:

1. Draft

Draft is for items that are still in development and not yet ready to be pushed to any online channel. This status is used when a restaurant owner or manager is working on the recipe or structure of an item. Items marked as Draft are only visible internally to the restaurant, not to customers.

2. Available

When an item is set to Available, also known as active, it will be pushed to all online channels and is fully visible and ready for customers to order. This is the standard setting for all items you’re actively offering on your menu.

3. Sold Out Today

Sold Out Today also known as 86ing and is used when an item temporarily runs out but is expected to be back by the next day. For example, if you’re out of Coke today but expect a delivery tomorrow, you can set the item to Sold Out Today. Customers won’t be able to order it today, but it will automatically reappear on the menu tomorrow.

4. Sold Out Until

Sold Out Until works like Sold Out Today, but with a specified future date for availability. Use this status when you know the exact day an item will be back in stock, such as running out of Coke on Friday with a delivery scheduled for Monday. Customers won’t see the item until the set date, when it will automatically become available.

5. Archived

Archived items, also known as inactive, are those that you don’t plan to offer in the near future or have an indefinite return date. This status is for items that may be temporarily or permanently unavailable. Archived items are hidden from customers but available on sales change and can be reactivated if needed.

These availability options allow you to manage the customer experience seamlessly, showing only the items currently in stock to prevent canceling orders for unavailable items. This helps you keep track of inventory with minimal need for ongoing updates.
